Jesus spoke to the crowds, but he was intentional with the few

We can often recognize a person of peace because they act in a way that shows they are:

  1. Welcoming
  2. Receptive
  3. Willing to listen
  4. Willing to learn
  5. Interested

"One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, 'If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.'"

—ACTS 16:14-15 (ESV)

Whether you're walking through this study individually or as a group, take a moment to process by asking yourself these questions:

  • While Mariann was talking about finding a person of peace, did someone you know come to mind?
  • Can you think of anyone from the Bible who would be considered a person of peace?
  • In what ways may God be softening your heart to see a person of peace in your life?

Love God, and love your neighbor.

Apartment Life believes that a community can be radically transformed when people intentionally invest in the lives of neighbors and build authentic relationships through service.

It's that simple.

We partner with an apartment community’s management team to deliver the Apartment Life program. We  have the opportunity to  build community and serve residents by doing things that flow naturally out of the Christian lifestyle — welcoming new neighbors, planning social functions, and caring in times of need.

Together we can change the lives of people living in apartment communities, and one person at a time, we can change the world.
