Here's some tips for sharing the gospel:

  1. It's not a step-by-step or one-size-fits-all process. Instead, you need to know what the gospel is and what the gospel is not.

  2. Use your own personality and the personality / experiences of the person you're sharing with to tailor your message.

  3. Really listen to your neighbor and hear their questions and perspective.

  4. Look for common ground and focus on points of truth you both agree on.

  5. Know your bible, and have an understanding of the culture around you.

  6. Our proper response to the message of hope in Jesus isn't reciting a sinner's prayer. Encourage your neighbor to acknowledge their sin, repent, and begin a life-long relationship with Jesus.

Whether you're walking through this study individually or as a group, take a moment to process by asking yourself these questions:

  • Take a few minutes to write out the main points of the gospel that you would want to be ready to share with your neighbor when the opportunity arises.
  • Which part of sharing the gospel is hardest for you? Which part do you need the most practice in?
  • If you need additional practice, who on your church staff or circle of friends could help coach you so that you feel more confident with sharing?

Love God, and love your neighbor.

Apartment Life believes that a community can be radically transformed when people intentionally invest in the lives of neighbors and build authentic relationships through service.

It's that simple.

We partner with an apartment community’s management team to deliver the Apartment Life program. We  have the opportunity to  build community and serve residents by doing things that flow naturally out of the Christian lifestyle — welcoming new neighbors, planning social functions, and caring in times of need.

Together we can change the lives of people living in apartment communities, and one person at a time, we can change the world.
